RISE United isn’t just a class, or a self-defense program.
It’s an awakening led by women who have walked through fire—and refused to stay silent.

We are not fear-based. We are power-based.

We facilitate trauma-informed, real-world skills that help women reclaim confidence, safety, and voice. But more than that, we Awaken the Warrior Within.

Our founder, Robin Kennedy, is a Marine Corps veteran, trauma survivor, and former corporate risk leader who decided to build something that didn’t yet exist: a space where women are taught by women who understand. A space where no one has to ask permission to feel safe. A space where empowerment isn’t just a word or corporate catch phrase—it’s the work.

Joining Robin in this mission is Brandy Nettle, a fierce advocate, educator, and co-founder of RISE United. Brandy brings unmatched compassion, fire, and authenticity to every workshop. Together, Robin and Brandy form a united front—one grounded in integrity, courage, and the belief that defending yourself is more than a physical skill; it’s emotional, mental, and spiritual. Their partnership models the very empowerment they teach: standing stronger, together, without apology.

Every part of our mission, method, and message reflects Robin and Brandy's personal journey, professional integrity, and relentless commitment to doing things differently. While others may adopt similar terminology or aesthetics, our voice is our own. Our program is original. Our values are non-negotiable.
